SCOTTISH LASER SPECIALIST ADDS FACETITE TECH TO ITS SUITE OF SOLUTIONS
Posted On March , 2023
Ever Clinic, one of the leading teams in Scotland for aesthetic medicine, has become the first clinic in the country to combine FaceTite technology with its already comprehensive and sector-leading suite of solutions, which include the latest surgical-grade lasers.
The game-changing technology uses the power of radio frequency to heat underneath the skin using a fine cannula, like a long, hollow needle, to deliver the precise dose of energy combined with a mini-liposuction procedure.
FaceTite has been described as the non-surgical answer to face and neck lift treatments, and the Glasgow-based specialist skin, scarring and anti-aging centre can now carry out minimally-invasive facial remodelling and skin-tightening, often in one painless session.
Its acquisition of the expensive FaceTite machine, made by Israeli medical technology company InMode, obviates the need for surgical procedures, lengthy healing times and scars in many facial treatments and delivers unparalleled clinical results.
It is the latest in a series of investments totalling more than £350,000 which have contributed to the award-winning Ever Clinic’s remarkable growth and made it one of the best equipped facilities in the country.
Ever Clinic Managing Director Jonathan Toye said: “Many people, for many reasons, are looking for solutions to age-related issues such as sagging jowls and redefinition of jawlines, so we are very pleased to be able now to offer FaceTite in Scotland.
It is recommended by some of the world’s leading aesthetic surgeons as an alternative to a traditional surgical facelift. It dissolves excess fat tissue while stimulating elastin production to tighten the treated areas.”
He added: “The radiofrequency-assisted liposuction usually results in skin firming in the first week, or even earlier, and there can be continual improvement for months thereafter. There are no visible scars and it is less expensive than surgical treatments.”
Ever Clinic, whose medical team is led by Medical Director Dr Cormac Convery, an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Barts and The Royal London School of Medicine, is also investing in extensive training.
He said: “FaceTite requires considerable ongoing training, with the first few operations rigidly supervised, but it is ideal for addressing patients’ skin concerns in the neck, jowl and under-chin areas, to which lasers are not as well suited.
Unlike some aesthetic procedures, FaceTite can only be offered by persons with a relevant medical qualification, such as a doctor or a dentist. Because we are the only clinic north of London offering aggressive full-field laser, we have multiple tools to meet every eventuality.”
Dr Paige Shaw (pictured above), an advanced practitioner in anti-wrinkle and dermal filler, is now leading the roll-out of FaceTite procedures and, indeed, has carried out a successful treatment on Mr Toye using the new technology.
She said: “We are now dovetailing lasers with other energy-based devices, something that no one else is doing in the UK. It means we can achieve a harmonious result for people who present with problems associated with age-related change.”
Ever Clinic moved to its current Glasgow city centre premises in April 2021. It has treated more than 2,000 patients since then, using as Sciton Joule X and Lumenis Ultrapulse lasers and is now significantly expanding the size of the clinic to cope with volume. It has recently taken on another medical professional, Dr Roisin Convery.
Whereas most business originally was lip fillers, the clinic now encourages a more holistic approach, focusing on the patient as a whole. Services include laser resurfacing, acne and medical scar treatment, dermal fillers, xanthelasma, rhinophyma and mole removal.
