CASE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST BOOSTS TEAMS AS GROWTH SPEEDS UP
Posted On June , 2023
Technology company Workpro has strengthened its project and systems teams with new appointments which will help to maintain and accelerate the speed of its current remarkable growth phase.
The three new hires boost the headcount to 33 at Workpro, which is the market-facing brand of Edinburgh-based Computer Application Services Ltd (CAS), and is another milestone on the way to the target of 40 within the next 15 months.
CAS was Scotland’s first software development company, and has grown from being the technology transfer unit of Heriot-Watt University into a case management solutions expert servicing clients throughout the United Kingdom and overseas.
At the core of its success is its Workpro family of case management software focusing on activities such as complaint handling and HR case tracking, which allows clients to monitor progress and ensure that they remain fully compliant, even with the most complex issues.
Jacob Wall (pictured above) has been taken on as a Systems Analyst, after working elsewhere as a business analyst in systems development.
He said: “I am delighted to have joined Workpro and to have found more opportunities to develop my career. It’s the best company culture I could have imagined. Everyone is so relaxed and friendly and the work-life balance is so good.”
Farhat Sameja has joined the company as a Project Team Leader after being a project manager for an engineering company.
She said: “Team Lead is a step up from being a project manager. I’m going to be starting to build processes in project management. I’ll also be looking at how projects are already maintained and improving them so that they become more efficient for us and our customers.”
Aju Jose is now an Infrastructure Engineer with Workpro, having worked in Dubai for seven years and having recently completed a Masters in Cyber Security.
He said: “I was attracted to Workpro because many of the people here have worked with CAS for longer than 10 or 15 years. I thought; people are happy working here, and that’s common. It’s clear that this company knows how to keep its employees happy. It feels like a family.”
Ken Naismith, CEO, said: “We are very pleased to have been able to attract young people of this calibre to the business. They are talented, committed and enthusiastic and they will contribute a great deal as we continue to grow.
We operate in a very competitive environment and it is important to be able to continually refresh our talent pool. The entire team is very happy to welcome them on board.”
The employee-owned company has increased its client portfolio by 400% to 60 over the past four years including clients in national and local government, financial and legal institutions, major retailers and Ombudsman services.
Growth has been catalysed by the firm’s decision to make Workpro available as a SaaS (Software as a Service) solution, a method of delivery and licensing in which software is accessed online via subscription, rather than bought and installed on individual computers.
