The Scottish Chippy Awards 2023, the first-ever awards ceremony that celebrates the best fish and chip shops in Scotland, has announced its finalists. The competition, which was open to all fish and chip shops across Scotland, saw hundreds of entries from across the country.
The finalists will now compete for the top spot in each of the categories such as Best Fish and Chips Bar of the Year, Restaurant of the Year, Community Shop of the Year amongst others. The winners will be announced at a glamorous awards ceremony in Glasgow on Monday 22nd May at The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel.
The Scottish Chippy Awards 2023 aim to celebrate the best of fish and chips, and to promote excellence in the industry. By recognising and celebrating the best in the industry, the Scottish Chippy Awards hope to encourage more shops to adopt a deep knowledge and appreciation for the art of making great fish and chips and improve the overall quality of fish and chips in Scotland.
A Spokesperson for The 1st Scottish Chippy Awards 2023 said: “We were thrilled with the response to the Scottish Chippy Awards 2023, and the quality of the entries we received was truly outstanding.”
These finalists truly represent the best of the country’s fish and chips shops. Our aim is to reward those who have a passion for the industry and recognise the hard work and dedication of fish and chip shop owners and staff who work tirelessly to provide quality food and service to their customers.
