Spiritfilled, the Fife-based cask dealership company, is hosting its first ever webinar this evening as it launches a “Meet the Founders” series.

Chief executive Russell Spratley (pictured above) will participate in a live interactive Q&A session from the firm’s Braeside Bond in Newburgh as he charts the company’s journey from its origins six years ago to becoming a major hub for cask maturation on the east coast of Scotland.

Around 200 people have registered to take part in what is planned to be the first in a series of regular webinars in the coming months as the firm focuses on the country’s whisky landscape and discusses casks as alternative investments.

Spratley said: “This is something we have been working towards for some time. There has been a lot of interest from clients and the general public keen to learn more about the industry, whether it’s buying, selling or managing whisky casks.

We’ll be covering a range of topics from learning how cask investment works, what affects value, and how to invest securely and wisely. It’s going to be a very informative session.”

Spiritfilled was set up by Spratley and business partner Ross Archer and has Scotland rugby star Finn Russell as its ambassador.

It opened its Braeside Bond to investors and collectors last summer to meet the growing demand for spirit maturation, storage and distribution, with the 20,000-square-foot facility having the capacity to securely house up to 14,000 casks.
