Chartered Accountants Wylie & Bisset has installed a revolutionary air purification system designed to protect staff from Covid-19.
The Aura Air purification technology in the firm’s Glasgow office is the first, all in one, Air Filtration, Disinfection and Monitoring product that has successfully completed clinical tests specifically related to its efficacy against the COVID-19 coronavirus.
Scientists have identified that tackling airborne transmission is an important weapon in the battle to reduce the transmission of COVID-19.
This week company celebrated the return of staff members to the office to start new hybrid working practices in a safer air-purified environment.
To support the opportunity for better work-life balance, the firm will not return to an office-based five day per week working pattern. Instead, it is offering staff a hybrid working model allowing flexibility to staff members old and new.
Donald McKinnon, managing partner, said: “The last year has seen us all working remotely, learning new technology to work effectively. But while we’ve become skilled at remote working, we’ve missed the social interaction and the routine of office life so we are delighted to welcome staff back to the office.
“And if we can reduce annual seasonal sickness days through installing these air purification technologies, then that has to be a good thing for all concerned.”
The high specification Smart Sanitising Office Mister silently disperses a fine, cold, dry mist of a proprietary solution of hypochlorous acid water (HOCl) formulated to safely and effectively sanitise and purify the air and surfaces within workplace environments.
Aura Air purifies, cleanses and disinfects indoor air, while vigilantly monitoring quality in real-time. It targets and disinfects 99.9% of viruses, bacteria, mould, and Volatile Organic Compounds, removes gasses and captures 99.9% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns, including allergens.
Bruce Cameron, owner of suppliers Air Protection, added: “It is now recognised that a poorly-ventilated indoor environment is a breeding ground for coronavirus transmission.”
