Jet2 plc achieves rating of A- from CDP marking significant progress on climate action
Posted On December , 2025
Jet2 plc has been awarded an A- rating by CDP in its latest climate disclosure assessment, a reflection of the company’s leadership and continued commitment when it comes to taking tangible actions to address and measure its climate impacts.
CDP is a global not-for-profit that runs the world’s only independent environmental disclosure system. It is widely regarded as the global benchmark for environmental reporting, with scores recognised by investors, regulators, governments and customers.
Achieving an A- rating places Jet2 amongst the leading UK leisure travel companies for demonstrating strong climate governance and credible transition planning on its journey to Net Zero by 2050, as well as showing measurable progress in reducing emissions across its operations.
Jet2 plc has boosted its rating from B to A- in just one year, by showing leadership and best practice when it comes to decarbonising its operations, as well as setting science-based targets and developing robust plans to reduce emissions in the future.
Recent actions include:
Such actions resulted in Jet2 winning the Package Holiday / Leisure Airline category at the AirlineRatings.com 2025 Sustainability Awards earlier this year.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2 plc, said: “We are delighted to have achieved an A- score from CDP. This rating recognises the considerable steps we have taken across our entire operation to reduce emissions and strengthen our climate strategy.
Our commitment remains long-term, ambitious and grounded in real action, and we will continue to invest in the technologies, partnerships and practices needed to support a lower-carbon future for UK aviation.”
Paul Southall, Head of Sustainability, added: “Moving from B to A- in just one year demonstrates the progress we are continuing to make. Transparency, credible pathways to net zero and collaboration across our supply chain are at the heart of our approach.
This result reflects the hard work of teams across Jet2 and our commitment to continuous improvement.”
