Independent burger chain expands with the first sites in Birmingham signed up

Amigos Burgers and Shakes have declared their intentions to rapidly expand their presence in the UK with new stores in Birmingham later this year.

Founded in 2011, Amigos is the most successful independent burger brand in the UK. 

Owners Waqas ‘Wax’ Siddique & Kasim ‘Kaz’ Akhter have helped turn amigos into a brand that uses quality ingredients, innovative flavours and prides itself on its customer service.

The duo started the business after noticing a gap in the market for quality halal burgers.

After opening their first store in Acton, they’ve been working tirelessly to create a model that everyone can enjoy. They opened their second store in Shepherds Bush High Street in 2015 and have grown to include 20 locations across London

They have signed a contract for 5 sites in prime locations across Birmingham in a move that will help to create hundreds of jobs in the local area. The first of these Birmingham stores will launch at 326-328 Ladypool Road in September.

This expansion is driven by increased demand from franchisees with potential new locations being discussed for cities up and down the country. The hope is that by growing their presence across the UK they can become the new go to location for people who want a quality burger.
