St Joseph Homes Ltd will sign a development agreement as part of a deal to regenerate Ladywood Estate worth over £2 Billion. St Joseph is one of several brands under the Berkeley Group.

The signing of the deal is pending cabinet approval which will come on the 27th of June.

The Scheme to redevelop the residential neighbourhood which will take 20 years to complete will include 7,000 new sustainable homes. It will also include new schools, urban green open space with two public parks and public realm, improved public transport, business incubator space and community facilities.

Cllr John Cotton, leader of Birmingham City Council, said: “The delivery of Ladywood Estate Regeneration Scheme is the city’s most significant housing regeneration and redevelopment opportunity and key to the sustainable growth and development of the city.

The regeneration of Ladywood Estate will address both social and environmental issues and deliver significant benefits for the local community and wider Birmingham economy.”
