Publisher and five-time number-one bestselling author Lyndsey Meredith is celebrating the launch of The Business Bible, a practical guide designed to help entrepreneurs and small business owners succeed. Bringing together advice from 26 industry experts, the book offers an A-to-Z collection of business insights and entered the Amazon bestseller charts shortly after its release.
Lyndsey, 42, from Stockport, created the book to support small businesses navigating today’s challenging economic climate. With the UK home to 5.45 million businesses, 96% of which are run by solo founders or teams of fewer than ten people, she wanted to provide entrepreneurs with an accessible resource to help them develop their knowledge and grow their businesses.
Working through her publishing company, The Easiest Choice Publishing, Lyndsey brought together specialists from a wide range of industries to create The Business Bible: An A-Z of Business Advice for Business Owners. The aim is to give business owners access to expert knowledge and practical guidance that can help them make informed decisions and overcome common challenges.
Released on Amazon on September 25, the book quickly reached number one in several categories on the platform’s bestseller and Hot New Releases charts, including Small Business eBooks, Public Relations, and Marketing & Sales. It also surpassed well-known marketing figures Seth Godin and Alex Hormozi to claim top positions.
Lyndsey’s passion for publishing began in childhood, when she enjoyed writing short stories. After a magazine told her it only published established writers, she spent subsequent years demonstrating that publishing opportunities should extend beyond the major industry players.
Through this latest project, she has helped 26 business experts share their knowledge and achieve bestseller status, bringing them together around a shared ambition to support entrepreneurs. In keeping with the book’s charitable purpose, all royalties will be donated to a charity that helps people start their own businesses.
The book features 27 chapters covering a wide range of topics, from artificial intelligence and branding to business planning, customer experience, data protection, finance, marketing, leadership, networking, public relations, recruitment, resilience, sales, search engine optimisation, social media, systems and trademarking. Other subjects include neuroinclusivity, virtual assistance, publishing and public speaking.
Designed as a practical reference guide rather than a book that must be read from beginning to end, each chapter focuses on a particular area of expertise and includes additional resources to help readers explore the subject further. Lyndsey contributes the foreword and the chapter on publishing.
Reflecting on the project, Lyndsey said editing the book felt like completing a business degree, adding that she had gained valuable knowledge despite her years of experience in the industry.
She explained that the book brings together insights from leading professionals in an accessible and engaging format, allowing readers to dip into the relevant sections whenever they need guidance.
Lyndsey believes the book could benefit businesses at every stage, from start-ups to established companies, as understanding the key elements of running a successful business remains essential.
She also suggested that the government should fund the book and provide it to every new business owner, arguing that many entrepreneurs are not taught essential business skills and often discover important information only after encountering difficulties.
Each contributor has written a chapter based on their specialist knowledge and included resources, tools and further guidance to help readers develop their businesses.
Lyndsey described the publication as much more than a book, calling it an educational resource designed to help entrepreneurs build stronger and more successful businesses.
