Popular Wings chains announce ambitious expansion plans

WNGZ, the famed quick service restaurant (QSR) chain specialising in chicken wings, has outlined their ambition to expand to 100 stores in the next two years across the nation.
Established in late 2021, WNGZ currently has four outlets in Poplar, Clapton, Camden, and Mile End with each new branch has quickly become a popular go-to destination for the locals.
The brand was co-founded by Arif Ahmed & Zahirul Islam who spotted a gap in the market for local Halal and American-style grilled and fried chicken wings. The duo set about fulfilling the demands of the UK’s wing lovers and catering to a wide selection of customers, with their house sauces being the hero.
Arif who serves as Operations Director, brings his extensive real estate background to the table, ensuring that WNGZ outlets are situated in prime locations with plenty of local foodies looking to try something new.
Zahirul serves as Finance & Legal Director, utilising his expertise in business and exports to drive profitability and sustainable growth for the brand.
After great success for their London locations, Arif & Zahirul look to use their combined knowledge to propel WNGZ towards being one of the biggest and most popular chicken-based QSR brands in the UK.
The wings come in portions of 6, 8, 12 & 24 accompanied by one of WNGZ’s delectable and irresistible 8 signature sauces. They also have burgers, loaded fries and shakes as part of their menu. Their menu also caters to all diets, from being certified Halal and offering vegan options like cauliflower etc.
They have a unique décor bringing in a mix of colours you’d usually find in urban setting into their restaurants. Each restaurant has its own identity and has the classic American style of décor.
A spokesperson from WNGZ said: “With our proven track record of success in the London food scene we felt it was time to expand the brand even further and make WNGZ the game-changing brand in the UK QSR market.
The London food scene can be a hard one to break into, so it was key for us to have success there before we took the brand elsewhere. We can’t wait to show the rest of the UK what has made WNGZ such a popular food destination.”
