Zühlke partners with UK ClimateTech GoCodeGreen

Global tech consultancy and engineering group, Zühlke has announced its partnership with fast emerging climate tech, GoCodeGreen Ltd. Zuhlke and GoCodeGreen will work together to deliver lower carbon software outcomes for clients along with software measurement at scale to Zühlke’s clients.
Linda Scott, a Zühlke director based in Edinburgh, said: “Zühlke has a long track record of delivering efficiently and sustainably for clients, but now through our partnership with GoCodeGreen, we can show by how much. Sustainability in ICT is a real hot topic and we have a responsibility to do our part to reduce the impact of technology.”

Software and the wider ICT industry now accounts for more than 4% of the worlds emissions, and is growing at over 9% a year, accounting for a significantly more carbon emissions than aviation (2%).
GoCodeGreen, a certified B Corp, was founded in 2021 and is a 2023 Earthshot prize nominee. It offers a range of ICT carbon emission measurement and action solutions alongside Green IT training and support. GoCodeGreen counts a number of international banks and global energy companies amongst its clients.
Zühlke, which also has UK offices in London and Manchester, has continued its expansion in Scotland and across the UK in 2023, and was recently appointed by the Co-op Group to provide a dedicated software engineering team to support the UK’s fifth largest retailer.
Founded in Switzerland in 1968, partner owned Zühlke now has almost 2,000 employees worldwide in territories across Europe and Asia. The Scotland office was officially opened by Kate Forbes MSP and the UK’s Swiss Ambassador, Markus Leitner in June 2022.
With a client base that includes organisations like HSBC and NHS England, Zühlke has a focus on Financial Services, Government, and Healthcare in the UK.
