TALKTALK INVESTOR TO CLOSE LIVERPOOL OFFICE
Posted On February , 2023
A private equity firm which counts TalkTalk among its investments is to close its dedicated Liverpool office. Maven Capital Partners is to share regional offices across the North with wealth management company Ludlow. Both businesses were acquired by Mattioli Woods in 2021.
The firm’s Liverpool office is currently located in St Paul’s Square, which first opened at the start of 2022. Ludlow will be sharing its Burnley, Preston, Southport and Liverpool offices with Maven. As a result, Maven’s Liverpool base will close but its Manchester office will remain open.
Maven’s North West team manage NPIF – Maven Equity Finance, which is part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund providing equity finance of up to £2m to growing companies across the North West. Maven partner Ryan Bevington said: “We’re delighted to be able to expand our regional on the ground presence throughout the Northern Powerhouse region.
Maven already had an unrivalled regional office network across the UK, and teaming up with Ludlow gives us a far greater regional presence in the Northern Powerhouse region than any other SME focussed equity funder.”
He added: “In additional, Ludlow is well networked within their local communities and we look forward to working with them to build on our relationships with ambitious local businesses.”
Debbie Francis, chair of the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership, added: “Together, Maven and Ludlow will bring their shared vision and resources to Lancashire, fostering stronger relationships with local businesses and providing a solid foundation for growth.
The shared office space will enhance Maven’s presence in the region, allowing them to best support entrepreneurial businesses in their quest for capital and success.”
Sean Hutchinson at the British Business Bank said: “The shared office space across the North West with Ludlow reinforces Maven’s commitment to building stronger relationships with local businesses.
As part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund, this arrangement will allow Maven to better support early stage and established companies across the region with funding and in- person events.”
