SCOTTISH FIRM RECOGNISED IN LEGAL DIRECTORIES RANKING
Full-service Scottish law firm Thorntons has been recognised for its legal expertise and experience in new rankings released by directories, Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners.
Both Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500 are widely perceived by the legal sector as the world’s most extensive legal referral guides, which analyse individual and team performance across a variety of practice areas in order to rank the capabilities of law firms around the world.
The Legal 500 2023, reflects the result of months of analysis by the in-house research team, who conduct thousands of interviews with private practice lawyers to assess the firm’s performance, while collating extensive feedback from clients.
Thorntons retained their rankings across 12 different categories including corporate and commercial, social housing, family and employment, securing a higher tier two ranking in commercial property, intellectual property and personal injury.
The influential publication additionally singled out five Thorntons specialists as Rising Stars, including a first appearance for Legal Director, Kirsty Stewart.
Lucy Metcalf was named a Next Generation Partner for her work in the family law team while an additional 37 lawyers and practice heads across the firm were recommended.
The Chambers UK Legal Guide ranks lawyers and law firms throughout the UK, with its 2023 edition published on 20October 2022. Chambers and Partners has been the leading source of independent legal market intelligence for over 30 years, with more than 70 researchers ranking the best law firms and solicitors working in the UK legal market.
