Glasgow’s most exciting new venue, The Haberdashery recently played host to the launch event for Royal Bank of Scotland’s new mentoring platform, “MentorMatch”.
Presented by Amy Irons, the exclusive event brought together entrepreneurs from across Scotland to hear all about the new platform via a live panel featuring some of the country’s most exciting women in business including; Jilly Isabella, founder of independent fashion brand, dula, Rachel Wood, owner of Rare Birds Books and Aarti Joshi, radio host, life coach and industry leading marketing expert.
The live discussion was followed by a speed mentoring session for all attendees to benefit first hand from the expertise of the panellists.
Royal Bank MentorMatch is an online mentor matchmaking service designed to help people find their ideal mentor in seconds while also breaking down the formality around mentoring. The platform also provides ongoing support for mentors including training and advice to empower women in business to become a mentor to others.
The campaign follows newly commissioned research by the Royal Bank which revealed the true extent of the demand for mentoring, with over eight in ten (82%) of women in business likely to ask for mentoring support. However, almost half (49%) felt that finding the right mentor is too difficult.
Created in partnership with Digital Boost Upskilling, the online platform will provide access to personalised guidance tailored to specific business challenges through its easy-to-use online & mobile service.
