Rainbow Room International are celebrating another outstanding industry award.
Paddy McDougall, Art Director and Colourist at the George Square salon in Glasgow, has been named the winner of the prestigious Colour Expert at the leading awards event for the UK and Irish professional hairdressing industries, Most Wanted.
This is a fantastic accolade not only for Paddy but also the Rainbow Room International group, which has 12 salons in and around Glasgow.
The award recognises stand-out work with men’s hair.
Established in 2001 and presented by leading trade title, Creative HEAD, Most Wanted celebrates the most accomplished individuals, teams and businesses in British and Irish hairdressing.
It rewards those who push boundaries creatively, setting new consumer trends, but who also breathe life into local high streets and the wider economy with their commercial innovation.
A keen observer of street fashion trends, Paddy’s creates for his clients “colour with a lived-in edge because this is what keeps it cool while allowing me to push what my perception of beauty is.”
Paddy also boasts a burgeoning private client list, which sees him travelling to the likes of New York, Monaco and Dubai for everything from root touch-ups to dramatic transformations.
An impressive group of more than 50 independent judges scrutinised this year’s Most Wanted entries, including contributing editor at Vogue, Claudia Croft; international make-up artist, Lan Nguyen-Grealis; Art + Commerce talent agent Christopher Miles; fashion consultant Adam Andrascik; and session stylists Sam McKnight, Neil Moodie and Tyler Johnston.
