PERTH BASED COMPANY VOTED BEST IN SCOTLAND

The Auchterarder based Stephen Gardiner Construction was named best Building Contractor in Scotland at the Construction Awards of Excellence.
The prestigious awards were held at Chelsea Harbour Hotel in London last week and honoured the exceptional contributions of companies and individuals in the construction and building sector across the UK. Cathy Newman from Channel 4 News was the host of the event.
The company builds predominantly bespoke houses for families building their own homes, and they cite client involvement, honesty and professionalism as key factors in this successful process which is backed up by glowing client and architect testimonials.
The judges were particularly impressed with the quality of the construction and the firm’s local investment.
The prestigious awards were held at Chelsea Harbour Hotel in London last week and honoured the exceptional contributions of companies and individuals in the construction and building sector across the UK.
Other finalists were Muir Construction (Inverkeithing, Fife), Thomas Johnstone (Inchinnan, Renfrewshire) and Richard M MacKenzie (Tain, Highlands).
Commenting on winning the award, Stephen Gardiner, said: “Winning this award is recognition of how hard our team has worked through a very difficult period for us all. We are just a small business in Auchterarder but by offering a high-quality, bespoke services; we can make our customer’s dreams come true.”
Mr. Gardiner was presented the award by Greig MacLeod of MacLeod Construction, the current President of the Scottish Building Federation (SBF) who sponsored the category.
Mr. MacLeod said: “The quality of the finalists in this category speaks volumes for the health of the Scottish construction and building sector. They all deserve to be recognised for their fantastic work, not only in the projects they deliver but for the jobs they create and the young apprentices they support.
This year Stephen and his team just had the edge but I am sure the others will be back even stronger next year and looking to win this prestigious award.”
