PAWPRINT CELEBRATES YEAR OF SPECTACULAR GROWTH
Edinburgh based tech startup Pawprint closes its latest crowdfund tonight as it wraps up an incredible year of growth.
In 2021 the carbon reducing employee engagement platform has seen the business attract over 18000 users, sign up 31 businesses, achieve B corps status and more than double its headcount from 12 to 30 full time employees.
There are plans for a repeat performance next year.
Pawprint, one of a growing breed of businesses harnessing technology to tackle the world’s biggest issues, was recently highlighted by the UK Government as a key Climate Leader.
In the year that Scotland became the epicentre of the climate change battle by hosting COP26, this Scottish based carbon reducing start-up has seen demand for its services soar.
Christian Arno (pictured), founder and CEO of Pawprint said; “2021 will undoubtedly go down in history as the year of the pandemic but I believe it will also be remembered as the year that climate action went mainstream.
“COP26 really highlighted the need for urgent action and I’m delighted that Pawprint has been able to support so many on their carbon reduction journey and continues to scale to meet the growing demand.”
Major milestones achieved this year include:
- £700K Crowdcube crowdfund (closing at midnight Tuesday 21st December) already overfunded at nearly £900K
- 31 businesses using Pawprint for Business, from Abrdn to BrewDog, Tesco Bank to Fieldfisher
- Over 18,000 current users
- Over 500 tonnes of CO2e already saved (equivalent of driving a small petrol car to the moon and back 6 ½ times)
- Donated £12,000 to amazing eco-charities like Sustrans, Seawilding, SolarAid, Bright Green Futures, Trees for Life and WWF
- Pawprint was the only SME invited to speak at the FTSE’s Race To Zero event.
Pawprint for Business is an employee engagement platform and combines technology, carbon data and behavioural science to help businesses unite, engage and support their employees in tackling climate change.
Pawprint works by empowering employees to take control of their carbon footprints using the handy Pawprint app, encouraging participation through eco-Sprints, teams and leader boards.
