Medical clinic expands into Edinburgh
Este Medical Group has expanded its presence in Scotland with a new clinic located on one of Edinburgh’s most historic streets
Este is a multi award winning medical brand with a presence in all continents of the world that offers the newest, most popular, and effective treatments for skin, hair and body. They’ve grown into a respected brand with a 5 star reputation for changing lives and empowering confidence.
This clinic is being overseen by the husband and wife team of Bobby & Sonia Kang, who have played an integral role in bringing the Este name to Scotland.
In 2020 they took the big step of moving their family from their home in Birmingham in order to get the Glasgow clinic off the ground. Bobby felt it was the right time to open in Scotland as he had noticed several clients at their Birmingham clinic had travelled down from Scotland because they didn’t have a place like Este to go to for treatment.
They persevered through several challenges including having to send their staff home during lockdown and having no government support to make the Glasgow clinic the thriving businesses it is today.
They have picked up several accolades as the Glasgow clinic was named Aesthetic Clinic of the Year at the 12th official Scottish Hair & Beauty Awards 2023 and the Aesthetic Excellence Awards Scotland.
Bobby talked about working closely with his wife saying: “When it comes to work we are very professional. We close at 8pm so before then we are colleagues and we can tell each other what to do. After 8 that’s when we’re family again and I think that when family members don’t have that balance that’s when it can cause problems.
She’s been a great help. She’s the heart of the business and if it wasn’t for her I don’t think we’d be as successful.”
Regarding Este’s goals for expansion as well as his own Bobby added: “The goal is to have three in Scotland (Glasgow, Aberdeen & Edinburgh) but I’ll also be opening in Belfast and Newcastle. For Este we want to go from 11 clinics to 25.
We’ve got a location in Dubai and we’re going to be opening in New York so we’re going to be focusing on international as well as the UK.”
