Lyca Mobile and West Ham United FC have been awarded the Bronze prize for their Lyca Mobile in the Community initiative at the Sports Business Awards 2025. These awards celebrate the organisations delivering stand-out activations with meaningful impact on communities.

This season’s community project welcomed more than 400 participants, many of whom were from backgrounds which are underrepresented throughout elite level football. Delivering a range of Talent ID sessions, Academy insights, and coaching workshops, young players were given access to opportunities that are often difficult to reach.

As a direct result, 22 players progressed to a Premier League tournament, a milestone that demonstrates the tangible pathways being created.

Beyond football, this initiative also launched Hotspots, a content series spotlight on East London’s hidden food business. Gaining over seven million impressions, the series helped to promote local culture while delivering measurable uplift for local enterprises.

He added: “This initiative goes well beyond traditional tournaments, putting inclusion, talent pathways, and community storytelling at its core to ensure young people and local businesses all benefit from meaningful opportunities.

Receiving the Bronze award at the Sports Business Awards 2025 is not only a celebration of what has been achieved so far but also a marker of our ambition to continue building a programme that transforms lives and strengthens communities across East London and beyond.”

Lyca Mobile now ranks among the Sports Business Award’s three most recognised commercial partners, with brand awareness rising from 47.5% to 70%.
