Clydebank Bowling Club bowled over by Holmes Mackillop sponsorship

The firm enjoys a long connection to the club through legal assistant Carol Laird, who has been a member of her local bowling club for over 20 years, has won the ladies championship three times and has trained as a coach.
Richard Leggett, Milngavie-based director at Holmes Mackillop, said: “We are delighted to form this bond with Clydebank Bowling Club, initiated through Carol who, while coaching the junior section, introduced her own family to the sport.
Indeed, her sons are keen players and all three have won single handed trophies at the club. And Carol’s son Craig retains the record of being the youngest gents champion at 21 years of age.”
Clydebank Bowling Club President Joe Kerrigan added: “The board of management and the members of Clydebank Bowling Club are grateful for the sponsorship received from Richard Leggett and all at Holmes Mackillop with sponsoring our new club tops and hope this is the start of a long and fruitful relationship between the club and the local branch in Milngavie.”
Clydebank Bowling Club was founded in 1884, a time of industrial expansion when heavy industry was flourishing.
