Branding agency celebrates 20-year milestone
Posted On November , 2023
The Leeds-based branding agency ALLGOOD is celebrating its twentieth year in business having overcome some huge challenges.
Founder Paul Dodd established the business in 2003, originally a creative duo with his best friend James Robinson, to offer branding and design to companies in and around Leeds. The creative pair went their separate ways in 2009 and James tragically passed away from Cancer earlier this year.
ALLGOOD’s vision has always been to be a world-class branding agency, working on naming, branding and creative campaigns that help companies get noticed, get talked about and be remembered. From those early days presenting brands in a living room to now working worldwide, Paul has led the agency to establish itself as the brand and ideas people.
Going from its local Leeds roots in 2003 to now servicing clients across the globe, ALLGOOD has worked on a range of hard seltzers in Prince Edward Island in Canada, rebranded and transformed an AV company in Qatar, flown out to Bali and Singapore to work with the internationally renowned Green School, launched a shake in China and continues to launch multiple planet-focused brands with a sustainability pioneer across Europe.
ALLGOOD has most recently been instrumental in launching a new challenger oat drink in Ireland called Oatier.
The business now boasts a five-strong team with plans to recruit another two people over the next year and the turnover of the business has doubled in the last three years alone.
Commenting on the 20-year anniversary, founder Paul Dodd said: “Celebrating 20 years is such a crazy achievement. I think it’s a testament to the resilience of the company, its ability to be agile and how we’ve overcome some major challenges.
The early days were often fraught with debt, and we were struggling to put food on the table, then the credit crunch in 2008 nearly decimated the business. The creative partnership unfortunately came to an end only a year later, just as I was starting my own family, and to top it off our office completely flooded, leaving all our equipment destroyed!”
He added: “As the business began growing, I started employing people and just as we seemed to be on an upward trajectory, I had a brain haemorrhage and nearly died. I needed emergency brain surgery and couldn’t work for months, which presented a whole load of challenges, not least for my staff who had to run the business with no prior training. Luckily I made it through and continued growing the business only to be hit by the pandemic a few years later.
But even through all the challenges we’re still going strong and I feel like we’re just getting started. We’ve built a fantastic team, and our reputation is only growing with every project we put out there.”
ALLGOOD marked the milestone occasion with clients, friends, family, and business peers at an evening event in Leeds earlier this month.
