Asian Business Chamber awards shortlist announced

The shortlist has been announced for this year’s Asian Business Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) Annual Dinner and Awards.
The awards ceremony is set to take place on Saturday, 18 November, at The National Conference Centre in Solihull. The National Conference Centre has also sponsored pre-dinner drinks.
The awards recognise and celebrate businesses across nine categories with one of the category winners also being crowned the overall Business of the Year. The headline sponsors this year are Aston University, Doug Wright T/A McDonalds, and Lioncroft.
The judge panel was chaired by Raj Kandola, director of external affairs at the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC).
Other panellists include Mark Smith, executive director of business engagement at Aston University, Professor Martin Levermore MBE DL, CEO of Medical Devices Technology International Ltd (MDTi), management consultant Mashkura Begum and managing director of MSDUK Reshma Sheikh.
Speaking about the judging process, Raj Kandola said: “The judging panel were thoroughly impressed with the calibre of applicants for this year’s ABCC awards and it was a very tough process to pick winners from such an outstanding group of businesses and individuals.
I’d like to congratulate all of the shortlisted applicants for not only going above and beyond in their roles but also playing a very important part in making our region a fantastic place to start and grow a business.”
