MERMAID SERVICES MOVES TO NEW OFFICE SUITE
Knight Property Group has secured a new office tenant for Pavilion 11 at Kingshill Park in Westhill, Aberdeenshire.
Mermaid Subsea Services (UK) Ltd, part of Mermaid Group, has moved from a small serviced office and agreed a five-year lease on Suite D. Extending to 2,500 sq ft, the first floor suite is a ‘plug and play’ office, which features fully fitted space, including desks, meeting rooms and welfare space. It also offers car parking, with electric car charging points.
Globally, Mermaid Group is a leader in subsea and offshore drilling services and has been active across the offshore energy industry for over 30 years. In the UK, Mermaid has recently made its presence felt by announcing the award of a landmark multi-operator, vessel-based well plugging and abandonment campaign. The inaugural campaign, which is part of a collaborative partnership, is thought to be one of the largest of its type to be undertaken on the UKCS for at least a decade.

Whilst our recent contract awards were focused on well P&A within decommissioning sector, we anticipate demand for our full range of services, including subsea engineering, construction, project management and diving to increase exponentially over the remainder of 2022 and into 2023, with a particular focus on enabling the energy transition.”

Kingshill Park is located approximately 7.5 miles west of Aberdeen city centre, immediately off the A944 road. It offers good communication links to the north and south via the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Road.
It was developed speculatively by Knight Property Group in four phases. Pavilions 11 were part of the latest development phase, being completed in 2021. It offers Grade A office space, complete with air conditioning, electric car charging points, high performance wall and roof cladding and column free space internally. Previous phases of development have attracted a range of occupiers including CALA Homes, Swagelok, Acumen Financial Planning, Awilco Drilling, StormGeo, Lockton, PanGeo Subsea and DAI.
