SCOTTISH DENTAL CHAIN AIMS TO SHORTEN NHS WAITING TIMES
Dental Scotland, one of the largest and fastest growing dental chains in Scotland are launching a campaign; to help NHS patients who weren’t able to get their teeth checked during the pandemic.
Dental Scotland now has 6 sites across Glasgow, Falkirk, and Stirling.
Dental Scotland treat over 30,000 patients a year offering a variety of cosmetic and private treatments whilst sticking to their bread and butter offering NHS dentistry, to ensure the local members of the community have a brand they can trust for high quality NHS care.
Zareen Shareef, director said: “It’s been encouraging to see how willing members of the local communities are to return to the dentist. We’ve always strived to go against the “Scary Dentist” stereotype and this is a positive step towards that. We always want to give back to our community, so we urge all patients around the regions of the practices to come in and get seen, as we are opening our doors up to everyone.”
They are aiming to achieve this by opening up Saturdays and late nights across all sites, to ensure they can see as many patients as possible to reduce the back log.
Another step they are taking is encouraging as many new patients as possible, who haven’t been seen in a while to register.
Zareen added: “It is going to be challenging but we are aiming to see all new patients within the first week of them registering, due our campaign. Each QR code outside the practices gives patients an easy way to register via the power of technology.”
