KISSING WITH CONFIDENCE CELEBRATES VALENTINES WITH NEW APP
L-R: Sharon McLellan & Russell Wardrop
Kissing with Confidence, a Glasgow-based specialist training company owned by husband-and-wife team Russell Wardrop and Sharon McLellan is to launch a new business development app in a bid to help companies achieve their sales goals.
The app is called RainTruffle and it launched on Valentine’s Day. This represents a £100k investment over the past 18 months and is free to download from Apple and Google stores.
Kissing with Confidence provides programmes on business growth, leadership and pitching for individuals and teams located all over the world. An internationally experienced keynote speaker, trainer, coach and facilitator, Russell works at the highest levels of government and academia as well as at Board Level within commercial organisations making their leaders passionate, charismatic, and unforgettable communicators. As MD, Sharon looks after the financial health and strategic direction of the business and heads up sales.
Russell Wardrop, said, “More than ever people need the tools to help them expand, or even create networks, and proactively manage business development, especially as we navigate the new hybrid way of working.
In some respects, this is a huge opportunity as tech enables our markets to be both global and accessible, but the same fundamental barriers remain – confidence, lack of motivation, and the need for enhanced skills and behaviours necessary to drive business growth. There is no question that lack of in-person face-to-face time is an issue, but there is no reason not to go out and get busy as the working world reinvents itself.”
He added: “This app is the result of 20 years of delivering world class training. It is a constant prompt to keep people on track, providing up-to-the minute learning and advice, and motivation to help people take action to develop themselves, their teams, and their businesses.”
Highlights of the app include: the 100 Makers interviews including Gordon Strachan on what makes a great team; two-minute audio/info graphic tutorials on key skills (just right for the nervous 10 minute prep for your next client pitch or board presentation), as well as interesting reads, check lists and motivational tips. There is also exclusive content just for KWC Alumni.
The app launch comes as Kissing with Confidence celebrates its best year in business with turnover up by 39%. The business employs 11 staff throughout the UK, with their HQ in Glasgow.
Sharon McLellan, Managing Director, explained, “The pandemic forced us to totally re-engineer every aspect of our business which we can now see was a really positive change. We were used to our trainers jumping on trains and planes and travelling all over Europe to deliver training courses and that completely changed almost overnight.”
She added, “We have become far more efficient and whilst we are now travelling more again, there’s a lot of work still delivered online and the savings, both in time and money, this has presented clients and us is huge. Embedding learning and measuring impact by demonstrating return on investment is what it’s all about. The training world has been reimagined for good and this is a great outcome from a terrible crisis.”
To launch the app a free workshop, including a motivational keynote, took place on Valentine’s Day from 12.30 pm until 1.30pm. The event attracted participants from Chicago, New York, Vienna, Mauritius, Rome, Dubai, Hong Kong and many more.
