A new collection of 16 affordable homes has been completed at Lochside Park in Dunfermline, marking the fourth successful collaboration between Lochay Homes and Kingdom Housing Association.

Kingdom’s Development and Sustainability Director Tricia Hill was joined by Kingdom Housing Association Chair Linda Leslie and Kingdom Initiatives Board member Lewis McKenzie during a visit to the development on 15th of October where they viewed the newly finished homes ahead of the official handover that took place last week.

Delivered under a £3.6 million build contract, the scheme forms part of Lochay Homes’ wider Lochside Park development, which includes 43 private three- and four-bedroom homes. 

The affordable homes – comprising a mix of cottage flats, terraced and semi-detached houses and an accessible bungalow – have been designed to meet modern energy-efficiency standards while providing high-quality, comfortable living spaces for local families.

The homes are now complete and ready for residents to move in later this month. Once occupied, they will join the 21 households already living in the wider development, which is due to be fully completed by summer 2026.

Tricia Hill added: “It’s been fantastic to see the completed homes at Lochside Park and help shape the growing community here. This is our fourth project with Lochay Homes, and each time the partnership has delivered homes that make a tangible difference for local people. This is more vital than ever in the midst of the housing emergency.

The Lochside Park development is the latest in a growing partnership between the two organisations, following successful projects in Alloa, Cardenden and St Monans.

The formal handover of the new affordable homes took place on 22nd of October, with the first residents expected to move in shortly afterwards
