Lyca Mobile, the world’s largest international mobile virtual network operator, has signed an extension of the contract to the existing successful partnership with epay, Europe’s leading prepaid provider, to offer its SIM products to customers across Italy with the help of epay’s large distribution network of renowned retail partners.
The major new deal will see Lyca SIM products promoted across more than 2,000 points of sale in Italy, in partnership with 12 major retailers.
The retail partnerships span various key sectors designed to maximise customer engagement. These include consumer electronics giant Unieuro, Italy’s leading distributor of consumer electronics and household appliances, and the leading Italian bookstore, Feltrinelli Librerie.
Lyca’s SIM products will be made available through epay’s in-store displays, strategically placed in high-traffic areas to maximize visibility and access.
Customers will benefit from Lyca’s innovative self-service SIM purchase model, allowing them to buy the SIM independently. After the purchase, mobile service activation triggers when the customer completes a mandatory registration process via a dedicated digital journey.
Roberto De Stradis, Country Manager for Lyca Mobile, said: “Italy is a key growth market for Lyca Mobile, and we are very proud to work in partnership with epay to further expand our customer base across the country. Our retail partners have been handpicked to ensure maximum brand exposure, giving existing and prospective customers access to our world-class SIM services.”
Sebastiano Licciardello, Managing Director from epay Italy added: “Lyca Mobile has a proven track record of delivering high quality mobile services across the globe. This new deal is a further expansion of our existing partnership, as we aim to bring first class mobile services and products to the Italian market.”
