Harley Haddow leads the engineering charge with cross country growth and promotions

Harley Haddow has met growing demand across the UK, with the addition of four new members of staff in Manchester, and promotions across their UK base.
The multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy’s Northwest office has added four new engineering experts to the team to further bolster growth in the region. They include Carlos Law, Mechanical Engineer, Travis Ting, Electrical Engineer, Duaa Raja, Mechanical Engineer and Luke Ridsdale, Electrical Engineer.
The quartet brings with them a variety of expertise, with experience gained from various previous positions across Manchester, York and China. They will work alongside Northwest director, Ian Chalk, and Shweta Salvankar, Senior Building Performance and Sustainability engineer.
In addition to the new hires, the consultancy has marked the achievements of staff, with 17 promotions across their other offices in London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Fort William, seven at director level.
Promotions at director level include Andre Siwek, Director, Philip Pointer, Technical Director, Alin Pepene, Technical Director, Rob Lewis, Associate Director, Andrew Jones, Director, Carol Harte, BIM Technical Director and Emma Read, Board Operations Director.
Other promotions include, Richard Smith, Principal Mechanical Engineer, Gaurav Kataria, Senior Building Performance and Sustainability Engineer, Heather Docherty, Graduate Engineer, Ross Kellachan, Graduate Engineer, Euan Skene, Principal Mechanical Engineer, Andrew Brown, Principal Mechanical Engineer, Scott Bissett Principal, Electrical Engineer, Amanda Azavedo, Project Building Performance and Sustainability Engineer, Natasha Rose, Operations & Events Manager and Rose Henderson, Digital and Communications Manager.
Following on from a successful stint of growth, Harley Haddow has been awarded numerous projects including Blackley Fire Station in Manchester, the restoration of Grand Lodge in Elgin, Elgin Town Hall and some impressive decarbonisation projects for national institutions such as the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the Royal Household and Historic Royal Palaces.

Harley Haddow continues to go from strength to strength as they were recently awarded Best Sustainability Project at the annual ACE awards for their work on renowned Glasgow event venue SWG3. The consultancy continues to hold the title of the Grafters Awards; Best Mechanical and Electrical Consultancy and has been nominated for this award for the second time this year.
Shweta Salvankar was also recently recognised for her presentation of her paper, net zero carbon buildings, which was discussed at the CIBSE Symposium that took place last month.
