The first Scotland-based Women In Programmatic Network (TWIPN) event launched on Thursday 7 March with resounding success, as keynote speakers from leading creative marketing, advertising and programmatic agencies based across the UK took the stage.
The event, held at creative media and digital marketing agency, ALT’s Glasgow offices saw an overwhelming turnout, marking a significant milestone in the community of programmatic media and digital marketing specialists in Scotland.
The Women in Programmatic Network aims to support and provide opportunities for women within the programmatic and digital advertising industry.
Founded in 2020, the network is committed to investing in women and championing gender equality and endeavours to accelerate a future where women in digital can thrive, creating a world of boundless opportunity and empowerment for all.
TWIPN Board Member, Niki Chana, expressed her pride, stating; “This is an immensely proud day for us as we are celebrating the launch of TWIPN Scotland, creating a platform for women in programmatic to lead the conversation in a warm and inclusive environment.”
The event featured insightful discussions and thought-provoking presentations centred around sustainable digital advertising practices and the future of the programmatic industry. Keynote speaker, Claire Gleason-Landry, Head of Investment and Sustainable
Media at Good Loop, spoke about the current state of attitudes towards sustainable practices in the advertising industry, before joining the dynamic panel comprised of Michelle Vint, Co-Founder of Skyrise, Martin Roberts, Director of Mediaworx, and Muskaan Jreat Numodo, Programmatic Executive at Numodo.
Laura Haggerty, Founder of ALT, emphasised the importance of TWIPN, and the decision to be Scotland’s launch partner: “The Women In Programmatic Network has had an incredible impact on women of all stages of their careers across the creative and programmatic industry.
With resounding success in London and Manchester, we at ALT are truly invested in supporting this network in our local market and leveraging our footprint and connections across the UK to forge alliances with the other TWIPN committees.
She added: “Faced with the reality of remote working, it has become increasingly difficult to build a network and meet people working within your industry or sector. TWIPN presents a fantastic solution to this problem.
TWIPN Scotland launched with an incredibly insightful presentation about sustainability in the programmatic industry from Claire Gleeson-Landy, and we are excited to follow this event with a series of topics looking at key issues, trends, learnings and insights relating to the programmatic world.”
The success of TWIPN’s inaugural event underpins the growing demand for inclusive platforms and initiatives within the digital advertising landscape. With a commitment to fostering dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and professional development, TWIPN is poised to make a significant impact on the industry’s diversity and inclusivity efforts.
