Black & White (B&W) Engineering, a leading MEP engineering design consultancy, has announced strong growth in Scotland since the business opened its Edinburgh office in 2021.

The office was established by one of B&W’s long-standing directors, Brian Dryburgh, following his return to Scotland after 26 years in Dubai, where Black & White’s headquarters are located. Leading the Edinburgh office are Technical Directors Ross Leask and Grant Dalgleish.

Reflecting on the past two and half years, Grant Dalgleish said: “Setting up and growing a new business in Scotland has been an exciting journey including the challenges of local brand recognition and recruitment of highly skilled people.

It is testament to our one global team, international projects and collaborative learning culture that our Edinburgh office recorded a successful first year’s revenue.”

The Edinburgh team is at the end of their second full financial year and settled into their third office premises, the newly refurbished Verdant building in the South Gyle business park. The team has grown significantly, contributing to the global growth of the consultancy which now has over 450 employees.

Following recent key hires, Ross and Grant have a senior team of mechanical and electrical Associate Directors and Principal Engineers in place which allows their recruitment to focus on Senior Engineer, Engineer and Graduate Engineer levels.
