SOCIAL IMPACT FIRM LAUNCHES NEW TECH TO HELP EMPLOYEERS BUILD CAREER PATHWAYS
Posted On March , 2023
Social impact firm WithYouWithMe has taken another step towards helping businesses tackle the increasing digital skills gap, launching a new product that empowers businesses to create an accurate assessment of their workforce’s potential and identify opportunities for internal upskilling and workforce optimisation.
‘Grow Potential’ has been developed specifically for organisations looking to create meaningful career pathways for their employees, with a focus on reskilling, career development and retention, as the global war for digital talent intensifies. It also supports decision-making around workforce planning for change management and business transformation.
Paul Wahltuch, SVP Product at WithYouWithMe, commented: “As the real economy increasingly becomes the digital economy, the digital skills gap is widening at an accelerated pace, leading hiring managers to expend more time, often fruitlessly, to find and develop talent.
We’re pleased to provide employers across the globe with the only platform that systematically unlocks an individual’s potential and allows them to rapidly and reliably build new digital skills within their existing workforce and from other overlooked talent pools.”
Challenging traditional recruitment practices like CV screening, WithYouWithMe’s proprietary workforce management platform, ‘Potential’, is the world’s only end-to-end talent pipeline system.
Working with corporates including Capita, BAE Systems, EY, Leidos, Fujitsu, Microsoft and more, WithYouWithMe’s data-led employment tool guides employers through a process of discovery, training and deploying talent. It produces high-performing digital teams through its systematic psychometric and aptitude testing to assess potential and match skills to digital careers. If an individual has the aptitude and attitude that’s right for a digital career, WithYouWithMe trains them to be proficient in around 150 hours.
Through the ‘Grow Potential’ platform, employers and HR teams are empowered to identify the true capabilities within their workforce, adopt a “retrain to retain” mindset by building engagement through training and internal mobility to find alternative sources of talent, and ultimately make data-driven decisions through aptitude assessment which can be matched to an existing skills framework.
This skills-based approach to employment and progression pioneered by WithYouWithMe levels the playing field by prioritising candidates’ potential over their previous experience, which supports under-represented groups including women, neurodivergent individuals and veterans.
WithYouWithMe is working with The Royal Lancers; the British Army’s leading reconnaissance Regiment, to build a capability programme that it hopes will serve as a blueprint for how the entire British Army addresses its digital skills gap. Designed to help unit level commanders leverage the invisible digital talent within their force, the programme identifies soldiers with natural abilities to excel in key digital roles such as cyber, software engineering and data analytics.
COO of WithYouWithMe, Tom Larter, added: “It has never been more important for businesses to prioritise the creation of meaningful career pathways for their employees with a focus on reskilling, career development and retention.
We are excited by the uptake we have had from several household name organisations and look forward to supporting many more global enterprises with their business transformation objectives.”
